Hungary made a grave error by letting itself be cajoled by the Germans into a swap-alliance deal. In 1941 the Germans forced Romania to cede part of its territory to Hungary, in exchange, Hungary entered the War as an Axis power.
Here we feature the full mint set of Hungary - Reconstruction stamps issued right after the War in 1945, depicting the laborer with hammer & anvil, monument and bridge in background. This 15 stamp series runs all the way up to the 3,000 Pengo value.
