Here is a spectacular Chinese Government bond coupon ( from the reorganization gold loan of 1913 ) depicting a speedy Mercury with winged helmet. The four languages featured on the face are: German, English, French & Russian.
The reverse of each coupon shows the instructions surrounding these payment DBC's which are denominated in English Shillings, German marks, French Francs, Russian Rubles and Japanese Yen. The places where these were convertible included ( as noted on each coupon ); London, Hong Kong, Shanghai, Berlin, Paris, Moscow, Brussels, and Yokohama.
