The Channel Islands ( between England & France ) of Jersey, Guernsey,
Alderney, Sark etc. were overrun by the Germans in WWII from
June 30 to 3 July, 1940. One of the first acts was to dictate the rate of
exchange between Reichsmarks and Pounds. But the Germans were
only passing Occupation Mark notes ( Reich's Credit Treasury Notes ),
which were worthless, with value only if used outside of the 'fatherland'.
Featured here are several values of these used in the Channel Islands,
until a local currency was introduced in 1942.
