Here we present the most famous of the true millennium coins in silver, of Azes II, an Indo - Scythian King ( modern day Pakistan / Afghanistan ).
He ruled from about 35 B.C.E. to approximately the year 8 after Jesus Christ.
As the horse was highly revered by these people ( many warriors were often buried with their horses ), the obverse features the King atop his favorite creature and the reverse depicts a lovely design with what appears to be Hebrew letters ( although this looks exactly like Hebrew, it is in fact Karosti, a derivative of Aramaic, which is also based on the Hebrew language ).
These silver coins are all in circulated condition.
